This week's question:
If your blog crew (or if it is just you, you are a pack of 1) could make up your own pack, what name would you call yourselves and what animal pack would it be.

My Answer:
This was really hard. I do not have any partners on my blog, so I'm a huge pack of one. I actually asked my daughter what animal she thought I might be like, and she told me an owl. I asked her why and she commented that I'm up all night reading, so I remind her of a night owl. I guess that works, but I'm totally stumped when it comes to a name. Maybe Hooter Shooters? This was a tough one this week!

This week's question:
What is the sexiest item of clothing a hero can wear in a novel?

My Answer:
I think a hero should wear a good faded pair of jeans and a tight tshirt.  I like it when they wear their guns in their holsters on top of said tight tshirt.  Oh don't forget the boots.  I love boots!  Relaxed, yet dangerous!

This week's question:
If you could read one book again for the first time,  which one would you pick and why?

My answer:
This is tough.  If I could choose a series, I would love to read all of JR Ward's
Black Dagger Brotherhood again.  Every one of them.  For the first time. To relive all that would be oh so sweet.  I think that just a reread would be good to, but to get to know each of those males, one at a time again...mmmmm

I think I could read Chloe Neill's Hard Bitten again.  That ending, so freaking emotional and shocking.  It wouldn't be bad reading it now, since the next book is out and I wouldn't have to wait forever to see what happens.

Review: Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris

In Deadlocked, book 12 of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, Felipe de Castro is in town.  The King of Louisiana, Arkansas and Nevada has arrived to get to the bottom of Victor's disappearance.  Having his King around really ties up Eric's time.  During a little social event hosted at the Sheriff's home, a body is found.  Not the kind of complication the vamps need at the moment.

***Be warned, may contain spoilers.  I try not to, but it happens sometimes when I start talking.  Never know when to shut up! ;)

We have so much going on in Sookie's world right now.  We have the murder, we have the King in town, we have strange goings on at the fairy club and Tara is about to have her babies and let us not forget about that little queen problem Eric is having.  Really though, despite all this stuff going on, you really don't connect to any of those things.  I found the plot lines are flat and short without any real emotion to them.  I really miss picking up a Sookie book and getting swept away.

You can't talk about a Sookie book without talking about Eric.  Sookie says she loves him, but there doesn't seem to be any flame behind it.  I am such an Eric & Sookie junkie, that Deadlocked just frustrated the hell out of me.  So close to the end of the series, it is not looking good for them.  I'm sorry, but I just don't feel any connection or passion between Sookie and Sam.  Buddies, bff's, whatever you want to call them, fine, they fit.  But in a romantic relationship?  No.  It's like Sookie is sitting back and taking the easy route instead of fighting for her man!  Get off your ass Sookie!

I always had a bad feeling about Claude.  I just put it off to his attitude.  Knowing he's hot and thinking he's better than everyone else.  Even after Claudette died, and he started staying at Sookie's house, I couldn't work up any pity towards him.  He's one sneaky dude.

All in all, I'm really disappointed with Deadlocked.  I so wanted to just get reeled back into the world and get excited about all the things going in Bon Temps and Shreveport, but I just couldn't.  I will definitely read the last book, but mainly more out of loyalty than anything.

This week's question:
If we were unforgivably rude and snatched your purse from you, what would we find inside?

My Answer:

I used to stuff receipts down between my seats in my car, but since I recently got a new car, that habit has moved to my purse.  It is a sea of receipts.  I also carry my Kindle Fire in there, my wallet, cocoa butter hand lotion, tropical chap stick, a pen, my check book and yeah, more receipts!  My favorite part of my purse is the outside.  It has two metal circles where the strap meets the purse and I use that to hang my keys off of, and then I keep pins on the front pocket.  Right now I have a pin from Kelley Armstrong's Darkets Powers series and a "Plum Crazy" pin I got from a Janet Evanovich signing.  I did have my Mockingjay pin on there but the stupid thing fell off and I haven't replaced it yet.  I guess the question didn't really ask what was on the outside, but hey, when I think of my purse, I think about how much I love the outside!   With the exception of my Kindle, everything else in my purse is boring.  So let's hear it... what's in YOUR purse?
