  1. Depends on the book, I guess. I hate that feeling after you're done with a book that you are going to miss the characters who have become your friends, so series books are nice in that way. But, some authors don't know how to make a series book stand on its own, and that can be frustrating! Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. I like both, but would prefer stand alone. It is hard to keep up with when the next book is coming out. Thanks for doing the hop!

  10. I love both but if I read a series I like the ones that have different main characters in them. I like for the characters from the other books to pop in though or at least be talked about.

  11. I love reading series because you learn more about the characters, but I hate waiting for the next books in series to come out. Cliffhangers drive me crazy!!! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  19. I read both but I prefer series. They allow you to get to know the world and characters better, and you often get to see previous characters make appearances and get updates on their lives.

  20. It really depends on the book. Sometimes I get so engrossed in the characters, I want another book to continue the story. But there are times that I forget there is a series and read only one book, maybe out of sequence.

  21. I like both stand alone novels and series novels. For me, it really depends on the story itself. I guess I don't really have a preference either way.

  25. I like both but sometimes I find books that are part of a series that should have been a stand alone. It all depends on the book. Like I am currently in the middle of LOTU and I really like it since each book deal with a different lord.

  26. Oh I like both. I try to read series only when they are already complete though, because I have NO patience. They Sookie Stackhouse series is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
